Initial situation
The station building and the listed toilet facility date back to the early days of the Brünig Railway. Over the coming months, Zentralbahn will refurbish and modernise both buildings in order to preserve the infrastructure for the long term.
Aim of the construction project
Energetische Sanierung des Gebäudes inkl. Fassade
- Energy-efficient refurbishment of the building, including the façade
- Modernisation of the building services
- Installation of a photovoltaic system on the roof of the main building
- Renovation of the two apartments on the upper floor and conversion of the ground floor into premises for small businesses
- Preservation of the railway heritage

Restrictions and inconvenience
Access
Zentralbahn aims to ensure smooth operations for all passengers. Therefore, the platforms will remain in operation throughout the entire construction period and will be clearly signposted. Every effort is being made to minimise the impact on local residents and travellers and to limit any inconvenience to the shortest possible duration.
Noise emissions
Construction works will take place from Monday to Friday between 7.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m. During this time, some noise-intensive activities are unavoidable. We thank you for your understanding.
