Harder Kulm, Interlaken’s local mountain, offers a spectacular view at 1,322 metres above sea level. The Alpine Grandstand
Harder Kulm, Interlaken’s local mountain, stands at 1,322 metres above sea level. A ride on the funicular railway, which has been in operation for over 100 years, takes you comfortably from Interlaken Ost to the summit in just ten minutes. From the viewing platform, known as the Two-Lakes Bridge, you can marvel at the stunning panorama of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau as well as Lake Thun and Lake Brienz. The panorama restaurant, with its distinctive turret, invites you to linger and serves regional specialities in a unique atmosphere. Harder Kulm is the perfect destination for nature lovers, photography fans, and anyone who wants to experience the Bernese Oberland from above.
Important Information.
The Zentralbahn takes you comfortably to Interlaken. The valley station of the Harderbahn funicular is located on the opposite side of the Aare River from Interlaken Ost railway station, just a short walk away. From there, the modernised funicular takes you to Harder Kulm in just ten minutes.
Operating season: mid-April to the end of November.
