No. All you need to travel on the Globi Express is a valid ticket. All discounts, such as the Junior Travelcard, Children’s Co-Travelcard, GA Travelcard, Half Fare Travelcard etc. are valid. 

The Globi flyer, something to write with and a keen eye.

You will find the Globi flyer on the Globi Express and you can get it from the train crew and in all Zentralbahn Travel Centres. The Globi flyer is free of charge.

Well, of course, we’re not telling you that. It’s meant to stay exciting! The solution word is changed every spring, so even those who have already taken part can join in again. Please note: The solution word is in German.

But anyone who solves the Globi puzzle correctly gets a surprise at our Engelberg Travel Centre (directly at the station). Please show a valid ticket when picking it up.

The Globi coach is part of the Luzern–Engelberg Express. It runs hourly from 06:10 to 18:10 from Lucerne and returns from Engelberg every hour until 18:02.  
The Luzern–Engelberg Express then operates without the Globi coach. 

Note: The Globi coach may sometimes be out of operation due to maintenance of rolling stock. You can still solve the Globi puzzle. 

Globi Express operating with restrictions (07 September – 01 November 2026)

From 7 September to 18 October 2026, the line between Stansstad and Engelberg will be closed. The Globi Express will not operate during this period.
From 19 October to 1 November 2026, the line between Wolfenschiessen and Engelberg will be closed. The Globi coach will operate between Lucerne and Dallenwil.
