“An image film has to be able to do a lot.” That was the starting point. The big question, however, was which Zentralbahn we wanted to show. After exciting and entertaining discussions, it was clear which direction we wanted to go in. No “tired but happy, we returned home” story, but rather something that would touch and surprise people. That was the idea.

People

The Zentralbahn plays a role in many people's lives. The film aims to show people like “you and me” and focus on the experience. In line with the idea of “Something's brewing,” we have created a story that puts people at the center.

Story

Laura, our protagonist, is more interested in her cell phone screen than in the beautiful scenery passing by the train window. Her father is annoyed, but a boy she lost touch with after elementary school contacts her on social media. During the trip, the two grow closer again. Suddenly, contact breaks off. Laura stops responding, and he is dismayed.

You will find the answer to the question “What happened now?” in the image film. “Get on board” and your heart will open up. Enjoy.

The following content may not be accessible. The video is decorative and shows Laura, a teenager traveling with her parents. At the beginning of the video, you see her running after her parents on the train tracks in Lucerne. The three then board the Zentralbahn train. They are sitting in the bistro when Laura receives a message from a boy on her cell phone: "Heyhey Laura. How's it going? At the party on the weekend... I saw you from afar...“ She replies: ”Hey Philipp;) You mean the Triibhuus party? You were hiding from me, haha... Everything's fine. – How about you?" She is served a cappuccino in the bistro and you can see the beautiful landscape passing by the train window. He replies, “Been working for three months. It's great fun. Where are you right now?” Laura replies, “On a trip with the family. It's nice, but too early :-(” She sends him a photo of her cappuccino and writes: “But the cappuccino is really good.” Laura's father calls her name and motions for her to put her phone away. As Laura puts her phone in her pocket, it slips out unnoticed and falls between two seats onto the floor. He writes, “Let's meet up sometime. With cappuccino.“ The scene changes. Laura's parents are seen in a meadow. The father says, ”We could take a photo?“ The mother replies, ”Yes, okay." But the cell phone battery is dead. The father calls Laura so she can take a photo. As she searches her bag, she realizes she has lost her cell phone. In the next scene, we see her cell phone lying on the ground again and another message from Philipp: “Hello? Earth to Laura. Did I say something wrong?” In the next scene, we see workshop employees finding the cell phone under the train seat. One of them pockets it. In the next scene, we see Laura calling the travel center in Meiringen. An employee answers the call: “Zentralbahn Meiringen.” Laura replies: “Hello, this is Laura. I lost my cell phone on the train.” The employee replies: “Yes, the cell phone with the red and pink case? We have it here. You are welcome to come and pick it up.” In the next scene, Laura is seen walking into the travel center in Meiringen. She approaches the counter: “Hello.” The employee replies, “Hello,” and Laura says, “I called yesterday about my cell phone.” The employee replies, "Ah, so you're Laura. Just a moment, please.“ She picks up the phone and says, ”Hi, Laura is here about her cell phone... Great, thank you.“ She then says to Laura, ”Someone will be with you in a moment." Behind Laura, the door opens and Philipp enters wearing his Zentralbahn uniform and carrying her. “Just a moment, please.” She picks up the phone. “Hi, Laura here, about the cell phone... Great, thanks.” She says to Laura, “Someone will be here any minute.” Behind Laura, the door opens and Philipp enters wearing his Zentralbahn uniform and carrying her cell phone. He asks, “Laura?” She replies in surprise, “Philipp? What are you doing here?” He answers, “I work here. This is your cell phone, right?” She replies, "Oh my God. Thank you so much, I lost it on the train yesterday. Awesome!“ Philipp replies, ”You lost it on the train? I thought you were ignoring me.“ And they leave the travel center together, laughing and chatting. The closing credits show ”Hin und weg" (Gone) and the logos of the Zentralbahn and SBB.
