Program

Set off relaxed on 10 May 2026 at 8.20 a.m. from Lucerne on a very special journey. On board the lovingly restored 1950s vintage train, you will be welcomed with a sparkling apéritif as the route takes you along the shores of Lake Lucerne and Lake Sarnen. The train then climbs the impressive rack railway section between Giswil and Brünig-Hasliberg.

At 1,002 metres above sea level – the highest point on the Zentralbahn line – a delicious brunch buffet awaits you at the Waldegg restaurant, surrounded by stunning Alpine scenery. Well refreshed, you will then begin the return journey on the historic train, travelling comfortably back from Brünig to Lucerne.

A delightful excursion full of special moments – the perfect Mother’s Day gift!
