The design concept

The focus is on our uniquely mystical region. A stage for light and shadow plays, cuddly wisps of fog, rugged forests, and velvety snowfields—and also for the people who live here.

We want to guide everyone into the world of their own imagination, touch their hearts, and let them feel the magic of Christmas.

Quietly and mysteriously, it gradually winds its way through the hills. Our Christmas train brings warm candlelight to the cold winter night, sparkle to the darkness, and gradually enchants everything behind it into a fairytale-like magical scene.

The image composition

Simon and Kim took the winter picture of Haslital. It offers an attractive perspective with plenty of room for stories. What is hidden in the snow-covered forest? An owl? A deer? A squirrel searching for food? The forest seems a little mysterious and shrouded in legend. This contrasts sharply with the open snowfields and the individual cottages, which radiate familiarity and a certain sense of security.

In a laborious digital process, our graphic designer modeled a new image from the original and painted many small details: shadows, lights, glitter, the lighting of the train, and every tiny reflection of light. And even though there are no mountains, two cottages were moved closer to the railway line.

Hemp paper

This paper, made from 100 percent European hemp, is soft to the touch, strong in structure, and wild in appearance. It reflects the character of our beautiful region. A wonderful spectacle of contrasts. Always new. Always different. Depending on the light and weather.

The paper is not only a unique experience to the touch. It also stands out in terms of sustainability: it is produced without dyes and, thanks to its long fibers, can be recycled particularly often.

Putting it on paper

It is Ah Druck, with its passionately committed team, that manages to put our idea on paper. Our graphic designer's image data was adjusted with a great deal of experience and sensitivity before we were able to make the first proof (test print). This did not work right away. But in the end, our shared determination and the combination of different strengths proved effective. A Christmas card that artfully conveys our message. Into the forests, valleys, and mountains. But above all, to the people.
