Lucerne. For all the senses.

Popular worldwide – and for good reason. Switzerland’s city of lights is a unique ensemble set against a picture-perfect lake and mountain backdrop. Its many landmarks will impress you – including the Chapel Bridge, the Lion Monument and the Culture and Congress Centre – as will the picturesque old town and the wide range of cultural activities on offer.  

Stans. Charming.

The capital of the canton of Nidwalden is a very charming place, where you can find historical buildings and customs and traditions that people still live by. But Stans also has a lot to offer culturally and it is the starting point for the world-famous CabriO cableway up to the Stanserhorn.

Dallenwil. Family friendly

Welcome to the Engelberg Valley and its lush meadows along the banks of the Engelberger Aa river. The down-to-earth village of Dallenwil cultivates traditions and shows you the way to Wirzweli, a popular destination for excursions and a paradise for families and hikers seeking adventure.

Grafenort. Up we go. 

The gateway to Engelberg. The route climbs from here, with a height of just under 400 metres still to go. Grafenort was once the winter residence of the abbot of Engelberg.   The imposing manor house was built in the 17th century and is owned to this day by Engelberg Abbey, the town’s Benedictine monastery.

Engelberg. Moments of happiness.

After a relaxing 43 minutes, you reach Engelberg. This Alpine town has something for everyone, attracting visitors with the many sporting activities it has to offer. A highlight is the ascent on the TITLIS Rotair, the world’s first revolving cable car. While the cable car won’t make you dizzy, the spectacular view from 3,020 metres above sea level may leave you feeling giddy.
