Trail description.

Embark on a tour of discovery along the Schacherseppli adventure trail in Giswil – the trail honours the memory of the late yodeller Ruedi Rymann. Ruedi Rymann, Giswil’s most famous citizen, has left his artistic mark on the unique trail, inspired by his legendary hit “Schacherseppli”. Immerse yourself in the magical natural surroundings and get to know Ruedi Rymann’s work in a very special way.

The Schacherseppli adventure trail starts at Giswil train station, where you are greeted by an impressive wooden sculpture of the Schacherseppli himself. Guided by signposts, you follow the path to Bahnhofweg, where the first stop on the adventure trail can be found by the old train station barn. Here you can choose between two routes: the shorter path (around 4km and signposted in blue) is dedicated to the song “Schacherseppli”, while the longer path (around 10km and signposted in red) is dedicated to Ruedi Rymann, the yodeller, gamekeeper and nature lover.

The shorter route is fully accessible and therefore suitable for pushchairs and wheelchair users. Please note, however, that the bridge over the Laui is only 80cm wide.
