Trail description.

Explore this fascinating natural scenery on foot with a hike through the Brünig, starting at the Brünig-Hasliberg stop and leading through the mysterious Brünig Forest towards Lungern. On your way through this breathtaking landscape, you may be lucky enough to spot local wildlife, such as deer, chamois and majestic birds of prey.

Halfway along the trail you reach the little “Chäppeli” (chapel). It’s a great place to spend some time, as there is a playground in the forest, unique  wooden bowling alleys, a barbecue area with a panoramic view of Lake Lungern and the cosy Chäppeli mountain restaurant. To say goodbye, the children can ring the bell in the small chapel. The hike continues past the “Wätterloch” (weather cave) and the “Fluhmattquelle” (Fluhmatt spring) down to Lungern station.

Of course, you can also hike from Lungern to the Chäppeli and beyond.
