Brünig Safari

Brünig Safari: a widly good idea.

The Brünig Safari is an exciting voyage of discovery from May to October for animal lovers young and old! And a must for your itinerary in the Brünig region. It‘s perfect for the entire family (see who spots which animal first) and all nature lovers.

Brainchild of a ticket inspector.

The train lumbers up the cog railway towards the Brünig pass. You‘ve time to look out of the window and admire the idyllic nature. But what was that? A bear? And there – right on the track – a fox! Unbelievable. Think you‘re seeing things? Well, you‘re not: The idea to put animal figures along the Luzern-Interlaken Express between Giswil and Meiringen, which was the brainchild of the Zentralbahn ticket inspector Jakob Enz, really impressed us.

Look carefully.

So look carefully, as you might also see some animals that are unfortunately now extinct in this region among the wooden figures. And perhaps a real squirrel scurrying from a fir tree will surprise you as well – just like on a real safari.

Panoramic Trains between Luzern and Interlaken.

With our Luzern-Interlaken Express and its panoramic windows you gonna see those animals even better. And if all those fantastic sights are making you appetizing, savour a drink, a snack or a delicious meal in our Bistro car.

Where is the flyer available?

The flyer is available from May to October at all Zentralbahn sales outlets or from the train crew on the journey from Lucerne to Interlaken Ost.
